Mamma Mia, Here We Go!

Greek Yoga Retreat June 22-29, 2019

Mama Mia, Here We Go! is a women’s seven-day yoga and meditation retreat on the magical island of Paros, off the coast of the Greek mainland. Two dedicated and passionate yoga and meditation teachers – Lisa Laney, ERYT-500 & CMT, founder of PuressenceYoga, and Nicola Watson, ERYT-500 – will guide participants through daily yoga and meditation practices designed to bring out the inner goddess in all of us.

Participants can attend three formal practices each day, including different styles of yoga asana to suit everyone. Restorative or yin yoga plus a more vigorous practice in vinyasa will be offered morning and evening, as well as daily guided meditations. There will be introspective journaling, reflection, sharing, and more – a true retreat for the body, mind, and spirit!

The retreat welcomes all ages and ability levels. We encourage close family members to attend together and experience unparalleled levels of bonding, self-discovery, and relaxation. Or, come on your own and be part of a weeklong journey of self-discovery and transformation. Whether it’s yoga by the beach or an afternoon of island exploration, this “bucket list” adventure is not to be missed! You will be supported and nurtured as we cultivate our spiritual garden and true essence.

Accommodations are at the family-run Aliki Panorama Hotel, which overlooks the village and sea on one side and the mountains on the other. In addition to accommodating up to 20 visitors, the hotel sports a new yoga studio and a soon-to-be-open pool. A large terrace, a bar and lounge area, and a restaurant with healthy choice offerings make the Aliki the perfect comfort spot for a week of rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Breakfast and either lunch or dinner will be served daily at the hotel.

But don’t worry – meal options outside the hotel abound.

Foodies are known to seek out the village’s taverns and restaurants, where owners grow their own products in order to offer diners the most authentic, tastiest dishes. Traditional Greek Mediterranean and vegetarian food will be available daily. Also, fresh juices and healthy snacks will be served at the juice bar.

The Aliki Panorama is just minutes away from several beaches as well as the center of the village of Aliki, a picturesque fishing village on the southern coast of Paros in the Aegean Sea. The village of Aliki is renowned for its peacefulness and warmth, and its locals are reputedly kind and open-hearted. When not at the hotel, you can choose from a variety of activities including hiking, scuba diving, and snorkeling. There’s even a Cycladic Folklore Museum where you can learn more about life among the Greek islands.

Or, you can stay at the hotel and enjoy a relaxing massage, bury yourself in a good book, nap on the terrace, sun by the pool, or visit with fellow guests.

On our last day on the island, we will paint the town red: dinner, music, dancing, and revelry in the village of Aliki or Paros. Party with your sisterhood, breathe in the Greek island life, breath out your cares and inhibitions, and dance like no one’s watching. Sing to your heart’s content!
